Our controllers are directly programmed on board.

What does that mean?

You don’t need any special software or equipment to do the programming if you need to change anything. Connecting the controller with a wire or wireless connection between your PC with any browser is enough to get access to the controller to modify or program any parameters.

It is recommended though that you prefer an Ethernet or hard-wired connection for security purposes.

Our controllers are based on RTOS, Real Time Operating Software, which is very much like any other operating system with a few important differences.

An operating system is a piece of software that runs on a computer. In our case our microcontroller which its responsibility is to accomplish several essential functions. Its main responsibility is that it is in charge of scheduling background tasks and user applications such as temperature and other commands in any industrial environment.

All electronic devices use operating systems to control the programs.

Most general purpose operating systems are designed with human interaction as the most significant feature, so the scheduler is designed to prioritize such tasks that may mean some timing deadlines can be missed or pushed back and a little lag in responsiveness especially if it’s not really noticed by a human is acceptable additionally the scheduler is often non-deterministic which means we can’t know exactly which task will execute when and for how long.

If you’re building a program, it most likely requires an OS and very defined timing deadlines. If a medical device or engine controller misses a deadline. To say fire a spark plug, that would be devastating to the engine. This is where a real-time operating system or RTOS can save the day. Also, our controllers come with a fixed accessing IP address or in other words, Static IP Address. It can always be changed by the programmer depending on their needs or threat assessment. Furthermore, this means that they can not be routed over the internet, which makes them even more secure.

In addition to the above security advantages, a static IP address makes it easier to work remotely, either over a VPN, Virtual Private Network, or other remote access program.
